Care that is affordable for you

The Novant Health Michael Jordan Family Medical Clinic is open to everyone, regardless of ability to pay. Our clinic also accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, should you wish to use insurance. If you are uninsured or your insurance policy makes your healthcare unaffordable, we would like to work with you to make sure you can still receive the care you need. If you have questions about our billing practices or whether we accept your insurance plan, please call our office.

Financial assistance program

We are pleased to be able to provide financial assistance to ensure cost does not prevent you from receiving the care you need. Ask our care team for details on how you can apply for assistance with your medical costs. When applying, please include the following additional information:

Proof of income
If employed: copies of your last two check stubs reflecting your take-home pay
If unemployed: proof of social security, disability, AFDC, unemployment, workers compensation or any other alternative incomes
Your last two complete bank statements (include all pages)
Your most current income tax return (include all pages)

Workers compensation

Novant Health Medical Group urgent care and some orthopedic locations accept many workers compensation insurance carriers, and will bill your employer's carrier after treatment of your on-the-job injury.

Some workers compensation insurance carriers provider "designated" physician and hospital networks for the treatment of work-related injuries. Your Employer should let you know if these designated workers compensation networks pertain to you.
